Dallas Braden posted a 26-36 record with 4.16 ERA across 79 MLB games from 2007-2011, all with Oakland, including the 19th perfect game in MLB history on May 9, 2010. The left-hander was drafted by Atlanta in the 46th round in 2001 but didn't sign, then went 12-4 at American River College before transferring to Texas Tech. Oakland selected him in the 24th round of the 2004 draft, and he dominated the minors with a 15-win season in 2005 split between Stockton (6-0) and Midland (9-5), earning A's organizational Pitcher of the Year honors. Shoulder surgery ended his career prematurely in 2014 after missing two and a half seasons. As a television analyst, Braden brings insights from his experience throwing a perfect game and overcoming injury setbacks at baseball's highest level.
