Aaron Boone

Aaron Boone played 13 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1997-2009, most notably with the Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees. At Villa Park High School, he batted .423 with 22 stolen bases as a senior and was named Century League co-player of the year. After playing college baseball at USC and starring for Orleans in the Cape Cod League as an all-star in 1993, the Cincinnati Reds selected him in the third round of the 1994 MLB draft. Boone debuted with Cincinnati in 1997 and hit a career-high 26 home runs in 2002 while playing all 162 games, earning team MVP honors and a 2003 All-Star selection. The Yankees acquired him mid-season in 2003, where he hit the legendary walk-off home run in Game 7 of the ALCS against Boston. His 13-year career spanning multiple infield positions and clutch postseason moments gives him deep insight into situational hitting and defensive versatility.
